BBS 89 Melissa Mesich from Volure Medspa

[00:00:00] Austin: Melissa welcome to the show episode. I think 89. I can't believe we're almost to a hundred and I, uh, can think of no better guest to have on today than you. Thank you for joining.

[00:00:14] Melissa: Well, thank you for having me.

[00:00:16] Austin: I'm excited to chat today. One of the, uh, segments of aesthetics that I don't think personally gets enough attention is looking at lymphatic.

[00:00:26] Lymphatic lymphatic, all things lymphatic. So today the show's gonna be largely oriented around exploring what the lymphatic system's role is in aesthetics and some of the, uh, tertiary relationships to wellness as well. And a device in particular that you guys are operating iNOS spheres and, uh, will be exploring how that has impacted the, uh, the spa and everything in between.

[00:00:50] So as a starting point, why don't we talk about exactly what lymphatic drainage is, why it's necessary it's role in [00:01:00] aesthetics and, uh, why beauty professionals should be interested in even thinking about emphatic drain.

[00:01:08] Melissa: Well, the great thing about lymphatic drainage is it's something that we can all can benefit from.

[00:01:14] It doesn't matter how old you are. It doesn't matter what ethnicity you are. Male or female. We all have lymphatics. We all can, um, accumulate toxins and lymphatic drainage is the way that we can release or stimulate, um, the lymphatics to release the tox. In essence, we're naturally detoxing the body. Um, why is that important to aesthetics?

[00:01:41] Um, and my. In my, um, practice. And from what I've experienced is it has helped intensify any treatments that we do. Um, if they're combining endos with other treatments that we offer, I [00:02:00] always tend to do the endos treatment first. I'm stimulating their lymphatics. Um, The great thing about that is it does release toxins.

[00:02:09] Um, I always ask my clients, you know, before we do this treatment, if you want to pee quickly, because, um, the way you release the toxins is when you urinate. And I always know I did a great job when they have to like, run to the bathroom right after treatment. I'm like, yes, we did a great job. We're getting all those talks inside your system.

[00:02:30] Um, and when you do that, and then you do any other treatments, it's going to intensify the results. And we've noticed that time and time again. Um, It also keeps your immune system strong and with the pandemic and all of these things that we have going on, it's really important to, you know, eliminate those toxins.

[00:02:53] It just helps your immune system build up. Um, I do work in, in aesthetics spa, but I also have 20 [00:03:00] years experience as a personal trainer. And way back in the day before I heard of endo spheres, um, you know, if they're eating healthy, you know, they're doing a workout program, um, they're, you know, watching everything they're putting in their body, they're drinking water, they're doing all these things.

[00:03:16] I would always tell them, you know, you have to, you know, do something to drain your lymphatics. Um, cuz you don't want all this build up. You're doing all these great things, but you're holding onto all these tox. Hmm. And the reason why this is so important for aesthetics is it reduces swelling, water, retention.

[00:03:36] It's going to increase their circulation. It's gonna make them feel lighter. Um, and it's a really necessary treatment for clients to have, and it's something great to offer to all your clients.

[00:03:51] Austin: So, how do you see a product that is utilized for lymphatic drainage? Cause you mentioned, I think three times you said that it intensifies [00:04:00] your results.

[00:04:00] So is it, is it viewed categorically as some sort of instrument for intensifying or augmenting the outcomes of the other treatments that you offer? Or how do you think about lymphatic drainage and products that address that categorically?

[00:04:14] Melissa: Um, well, first of all, with Inosphere specifically, um, The, the main function of endo spheres there's many is to, um, reduce the cellulite.

[00:04:24] It's the first, you know, FDA cleared treatment, um, or cellulite removal. Um, so when we're getting all those toxins out of the body, um, it's much easier to get better results in regard to, um, the cellulite removal from endo spheres, you know, the skin tightening. The muscle toning. Um, a lot of women tend to carry excess water in their legs or in their ankles.

[00:04:53] Um, and it's going to bring all of that down, um, in regards to other [00:05:00] treatments, um, we do a variety of other treatments. So we do a lot of EMS treatments, electric muscle stimulation, treatments, where, you know, we're putting adapters on for them to. In like a 30 minute treatment, they're doing 57,000 sit ups.

[00:05:17] Um, but when we do endo spheres, before that specific treatment, we've noticed that clients that didn't do endo spheres before didn't get the results of quickly and as intense is the clients that did. So now we're starting a package, not only endo spheres, because of all the things that it does on its own.

[00:05:38] But we're also packaging it with other treatments as well, because we're finding. That, you know, getting all those toxins out of the body is just, you know, helping them, our clients with everything. I other treatments with us, if, if they're working out, um, with a personal trainer, you know, they're getting better results with that.[00:06:00]

[00:06:00] Um, so much to the point where, you know, I started tracking, um, you know, when my clients start a program with endo spheres, I'm taking their body fat, I'm taking their measurement so that they can actually see, you know, the results, not only from visibly seeing the results, feeling the results, but we also have some statistics for them to actually.

[00:06:22] Wow. I, I lost 11 inches. Um, my ankles aren't, um, big, you know, sometimes the appliance have said they have, but when we're getting all those toxins out, um, they don't have all that water retention.

[00:06:39] Austin: Wow. So you, you just alluded to a story of a customer of yours moving 11 inches. What's the story? Yes. Behind that, uh, success.

[00:06:48] What, what treatments did you use? What was the protocol? Give us some details on that. That's, uh, an insane story.

[00:06:55] Melissa: it's um, it's a great story. Um, I actually [00:07:00] have a photo of her. I can quick show you. Um, this is one of the clients she lost 11 inches. We were focusing on her abdomen and her thigh. Oh my gosh.

[00:07:11] Um, With her specifically, um, we just did the endo SPS and, um, she was really focused on the lower body. And the great thing about endo spheres is you can package it. It's full body treatment. You can package it, it's lower body. So we did a lower body treatment or specifically working on the lower body, um, and sculpting her problem areas.

[00:07:37] And she lost 11 inches. Um, in 10 treatments and was feeling amazing. The thing with endo spheres is when they start to feel good and we're getting all those toxins out of their body, she started to work out. Then she was feeling so good and getting such good results. She started to hit the gym too, [00:08:00] and I see that a lot.

[00:08:01] For clients that maybe aren't not a consistent workout program or haven't worked out before and they're feeling so good and so healthy that they wanna start doing more, to feel healthy and good. And it's just kind of this balloon effect.

[00:08:18] Austin: Wow. So it almost creates this fitness flywheel where they start to see positive outcomes in the spa.

[00:08:25] that excites them to get in the gym that then excites them to eat healthier. That then brings them back for additional treatments and additional package sales. And in this particular example, you had a woman who lost again to reiterate 11 inches with 10 treatments. Mm-hmm of endos fears. Yes. Wow.

[00:08:41] Melissa: And because of these results, we started membership program.

[00:08:48] Where they just pay monthly and they can come in once a week or twice a week. We have different packages, um, because they love not only does it help, but the toxins when [00:09:00] you're doing the lymphatic and you're doing, um, endos, when they start working out, you can get lactic acid built and that's just one more benefit with endo spheres is they'll start planning their.

[00:09:12] Before endo spheres. So I have so many clients who are like, I just had leg day yesterday. I can't wait for you to work on my hamstrings and thigh because you're gonna break down that Lac acid. I'm not gonna have so much soreness. So endo spheres, I always like to position it. It's for help meets beauty.

[00:09:30] Um, a lot of treatments that you can do are pretty invasive. And this is a feel good treatment. You know, it feels like a therapeutic massage, but you're getting all these extra health benefits, which is why we had to do a membership program because we started to replace. They're weekly massage. They're like, well, why do I wanna keep doing that?

[00:09:52] I can do this. I can remove my cell light. I can tighten my skin. You know, I can do all these things and still [00:10:00] get my massage, but I'm, I'm looking better. I'm feeling better. So, um, we never had monthly membership programs that are spa before. And. We started endo spheres and had all the success with our clients.

[00:10:17] We had to come up with the membership program because even when they achieved the results. they still wanted to come in because their body just feels good. Their immune system feels strong, so, wow. We love it.

[00:10:31] Austin: that's incredible. Well, I wanna, you've mentioned Inosphere a few times full disclosure. Yes.

[00:10:35] Artis the, uh, company behind the body. Beauty show does distribute iNOS but I wanna, I want to orient this conversation, um, a bit sort put some wind addressing on. At this section, by a way of exploring you and your story of exploring other products that you looked at before you decided to bring on in spheres.

[00:10:57] Cause really the thing that, again, it sounds like is, [00:11:00] is glaringly obvious for you? Is that every single practice, every single spa massage clinic chiropractic office, anyone that's working on wellness that has some sort of, um, adjacency to the aesthetic. So they're doing some sort of aesthetic type treatments would really benefit from having something for lymphatic drainage in particular.

[00:11:19] So let's look at, or talk through the other options that you've evaluated before you decided to bring on iNOS spheres and then maybe touch on why you ultimately decided to bring on iNOS spheres against the other options that you looked at.

[00:11:32] Melissa: Okay. Um, one option that a lot of people probably heard about is quo.

[00:11:37] Um, specifically, you know, horse cellulite it's injections. Um, but there is downtime with that and we offer all these, you know, other services at our spa. And when you do the quote, you're limited for six weeks, you really can't combine it with anything else. Um, the other downside, when we were looking at that is they have [00:12:00] to keep coming in for adjustments and you have to wait six weeks in between treatments.

[00:12:06] Um, So that there were a lot of things that didn't jive well with our practice. Um, We could have had someone come in to do, um, you know, lymphatic massage, but we'd have to bring in a whole other person. Um, you know, Artemis has an amazing training program. Um, when you get the endo spheres machine, I mean, they really walk you through an intense training program so that multiple people, you know, at your spot can do the treatment, um, and dermatology.

[00:12:38] Is another way that you can, you know, drain the lymphatics, but it's actually kind of an old technology. In fact, I've had two ender, you know, experts come in to get treatment from me because they've heard about endos. Um, you know, they've heard the buzz, [00:13:00] um, It's not painful. Some people say enology can be a little bit painful, um, but it doesn't do a lot of the other things that endo spheres does.

[00:13:11] And I've had, you know, two enology, you know, professionals actually get the endo spheres machine. So they added that into their practice. Um, so that they had, you know, multiple ways, you know, that they can, you know, accommodate their clientele. And this is just a nice, streamlined way to do so.

[00:13:34] Austin: Wow. So what was it about in this version, particular that, or particular though that led you to decide, okay, this is the device for lymphatic drainage for us.

[00:13:46] Melissa: Um, the results that you, I, we saw from Artemis. Um, the support that they had, um, they had so many case studies in fact, um, to dates, they have the [00:14:00] biggest clinical study on anti cellulite, um, which was really, really important to us. um, also having an FDA clear, um, we try to have the Crum dire of aesthetic equipment at the med spa.

[00:14:14] So when we heard of Artis, when we went on their website, when we, you know, talked to the company, when they explained all the customer support, they have, um, the options with the machine. Um, you can lease the machine or you can purchase it outright. So they had a lot of flexibility with us. Um, you can try the machine for six weeks with like no strings attached, which you don't get that very often.

[00:14:44] So right away, you're like, wow, this has gotta be a really good spot because they're gonna let us, you know, try this. For this amount of time and they encouraged us to get people in right away so that you could have before and after results. [00:15:00] And we did. And, um, we instantly were having results. I mean, we, of course we're doing it on ourselves.

[00:15:08] I mean, I noticed my butt lifted right away. Um, I felt better. So the fact that they let you do that and like tried to actually work it into your business right off the jump. Like that was huge for us. Um, and that is the major reason, you know, why we went with Artemis, but that case study too, I mean, it's the biggest one and cell.

[00:15:34] That's something that all women are looking and the skin tightening the I'm in my forties. You know, you start to notice, you can get little crepey skin here. There's all above the knees is a huge thing for so many women. Um, no one wants to get a leg lift and get all the scarring. We can, you know, fix that with endo spheres.

[00:15:55] So, um, all the options and flexibility that the [00:16:00] machine had is why we went that route versus anything. Yeah.

[00:16:06] Austin: Huh? Okay. Quick, quick distinction. So industrys is actually FDA registered for the listener viewer. Um, not cleared, but, um, uh, in case someone was thinking, Hey, it's clear. That's news to be, which it's it's registered, but uh, okay.

[00:16:20] I'm sorry. No worries. No worries. Not a big deal at all. Um, wow. So. That's incredible. You're right. Cuz these other treatments out there, immunology amazing product a bit dated quote, amazing technology. But there's, as you mentioned, there's some side effects occasionally in downtime, that sort of thing. Um, very interesting.

[00:16:43] And so again, to, to come back to this, uh, this pairing that you are doing with INO spheres, it sounds like there, in some cases you are using it as a standalone option. To address, uh, certain clients' needs like the gal that lost 11 inches with 10 [00:17:00] treatments, but is there, uh, is there a particular type of treatment that you like to pair industries with to really augment the outcomes?

[00:17:08] Melissa: Um, yes. Um, we like to parrot with our evolve, which uses bipolar radio frequency, um, heat to burn the fat and, um, the electric muscle stimulation to work the muscles. Um, it also, from my research, I would like to. Cryo skin in eventually now it pairs well with that, you know, I've talked to other professionals.

[00:17:36] Um, we do cool slim here. It pairs well with that too. Um, so we just kind of package them together. Um, but definitely it does intensify the results. So. Typically when I'm pairing endo SPS with another treatment, we'll do full body. Endo spheres hit all the lymphatics, we're toning and sculpting the [00:18:00] whole body.

[00:18:01] And then we'll pair it with like evolve, transform. And when you're repairing it with these other machines, the other benefit with endos spheres is we can focus on the whole body when you're doing, you know, cryo skin or evolved. You can only focus on one body part at a. So let's say they really, really wanna work those ads.

[00:18:22] They kind of need an all over sculpt. So we're gonna get the all over sculpt, just endos. And then we're gonna really target, you know, like the abdomen or the hamstring with you can do it with cryo skin, or you can do it in our case. We use, you know, evolve, transform or cool slim. Um, So that's kind of how we share the treatments.

[00:18:43] Um, with those treatments, we do once a week and then with endos on most treatment plans, we have the client do endos twice a week. And I would like to clarify that we don't just. Focus on the cellulite [00:19:00] removal. Um, another, since I'm a personal trainer and I do work with athletes, um, we found that endo spheres is a standalone for athletes.

[00:19:11] Um, I'm in Los Angeles. So I mean, we have a lot of professional basketball players here. Um, they get injuries, they need to get back on the floor as fast as possible. So. We're increasing, we're speeding up the recovery time. Um, when they have to have like a knee surgery or something, when we're draining the lymphatics and we're doing that, we're getting all those toxins and everything out from surgery and we're helping them.

[00:19:41] Heal and recover faster. Um, same thing, post workout, you know, athletes have these really intense workouts and they need that lactic acid breakdown. So, um, endo spheres works really well with people that [00:20:00] do intense workouts or that have, you know, that are athletes, the profession. Wow.

[00:20:06] Austin: Wow. So you have NBA players using iNOS spheres.

[00:20:11] Yes.

[00:20:11] Melissa: Wow. Wow. So it's not just about cellulite cause you know, the NBA players that's incredible cellulite, but they love how it feels. Oh my God. They love how it feels on their CALS. Yeah. I mean their hamstrings get super tight. Um, they feel better. I mean they have, you know, really strict nutrition programs.

[00:20:30] So, um, and there is a pandemic going around. They don't wanna get sick. So this is. A really amazing treatment. And then of course their wives are gonna wanna get it because, you know, they wanna get rid of the cellulite, everything. But, um, so yes, it's really added so much to our practice. Um, the other item that it does help with, not only does it tighten the skin and tone the muscle, [00:21:00] it does increase your circulation and it does help with pain.

[00:21:04] So we have all these clients that are on membership programs that have ditched their massage. A lot of people tend to hold stress in their lower back. It's called sciatica. Um, when we're using the endos spheres on those areas, they're like, oh my gosh, I haven't had any sciatic pack pain. Like not only am I like looking better, but oh my God, my back's not killing me.

[00:21:30] So. Again, that was another reason why we had to add a membership program. And, you know, I see my, I have my certain clients, like every Monday at 8:00 AM, you know, I have this client. So it really, really is just, it's a great feel, good treatment that for health meets beauty, I mean, it's doing all these things to help you health wise, but then it's also improve improving how you look aesthetically on the [00:22:00] outside as.

[00:22:01] So, let

[00:22:01] Austin: me, lemme do a quick recap here. So in spheres is being used on NBA players for recovery. So inflammation mm-hmm any sort of, uh, issues from being wrecked from doing sprints or whatever in training, Cal issues, et cetera, also for sciatica, which mm-hmm is unbelievable. And, and literally I had never, I had never heard of us using it.

[00:22:25] For that, or having clients partners of ours that use it for sciatica, which makes sense. So presumably for that, you're, you're addressing the glutes. And then, uh, I mean, what, what, how, how do you explain that? Cause that's really

[00:22:38] Melissa: fascinating. Um, typically, um, when we have them laying on their stomach, um, we work the butt, you know, after we've lifted the butt, I like to, you know, lift the butt from the back from the side.

[00:22:49] Everyone likes that nice bubble butt. Um, then you have their lower back. And their side, which a lot of my clients are like, they called us out. They're like, give me my hour [00:23:00] glass, but I'll be working. That's part of the lower back. Um, and then shaping the side to give them that nice hour glass. But when I'm working the lower back, um, I'm hitting that sciatic area.

[00:23:15] And usually, you know, it's where the spine is. It's usually right to the right of the spine or right to the left. Right. The booty and that's like a little hot spot right there. And when you hit that with the machine, um, it really helps, you know, like break down any, build up tightness. A lot of clients get like lots of little knots and everything in that area.

[00:23:40] Um, and it gives them relief from that. Um,

[00:23:48] Austin: By breaking down some of the fascial adhesions and

[00:23:51] Melissa: yes, exactly. And, you know, you can feel with the machine. I mean, the machine really allows you to, I [00:24:00] can feel when they have acid, um, When I have people on the table and I'm doing their hamstrings and I'll do like maybe their left hamstring and I get to the right one, it's a little bit more sensitive.

[00:24:13] This as a trainer, I can tell things from the client and I'll be like, you don't isolate while you're at training, do you? And they'll be like, well, how did you know? I'm like, because you're, right's more sensitive. So you're using your right leg more than your left while you're working out. So. The next week he came in and he's like, I isolated, oh my God.

[00:24:34] Like my left leg was so much weaker. So I mean, you notice things with the machine and it's always like light bulb moments for the clients because they're like, how can you tell that? Um, I have another client that comes in that has rheumatoid arthritis and I could feel with the machine on her thigh. The muscle was like a little bit [00:25:00] harder.

[00:25:00] Um, and I could feel it with the machine and she said, you know, I need to talk to my RA doctor because I mean, it felt, it feels good when she gets the endo fears, but she said, um, something that can happen is they get hardening of the muscle with rheumatoid arthritis. She didn't realize that was happening already.

[00:25:21] Um, I could feel it with the machine and I was giving her relief and she went to her doctor and that is what was happening. So he had. She wouldn't have known it was happening already, so they could kind of treat it head on, but you feel a lot of things with the machine. Um, I've had clients that have little cysts and when you go over it with the machine, the sys goes down, I've started to have plastic surgeons reach out to me that have do liposuction.

[00:25:52] And when they do liposuction and they use like a cannula needle and sometimes if they take a little bit too [00:26:00] much fat, there's nothing for the skin to attach itself and they get these little, no bumps. Um, And I had a plastic surgeon. I've had multiple now, but the first time I had a plastic surgeon, um, suggest to a client, you know, find someone who does endo spheres, because that's gonna get rid of your little, no.

[00:26:20] So I had a client come in and he had her come three weeks out. And we did the treatment. I'm like, does this feel uncomfortable? She goes, no, it doesn't feel uncomfortable. And we really focused on that area and we got all those little nodules out. And this used to be a problem with a lot of lipo suctions, where people would have these nodules.

[00:26:41] So they got all thin, but now they have these little bumps everywhere and they still don't wanna wear a swimsuit. Cause now they have little Nobles. So the endo spheres actually takes those down. And it also helps speed up the recovery process, post plastic surgery, because [00:27:00] we're draining all the lymphatics and all the anesthesia, everything that they've, you know, gotten, you know, we're getting that all out, their lymphatic system.

[00:27:09] So endo spheres does help with a lot of things. So you can start partnerships with plastic surgeons, you can do partnerships with athletes, you can, you know, focus specifically on women that you just wanna tighten sculpt their body. Um, it does all of these things. So there's so many opportunities in the market with this machine specifically.

[00:27:32] Wow.

[00:27:34] Austin: I'm thinking of two de France. Cyclists after their oh, my mile rides, right? Yeah. I mean, that could be, you could almost partner with bike shops and cycling because those guys, I mean, I, I, I mountain bike all the time. My legs are just always destroyed and I don't know why to think. Duh, go get an SPHS treatment after this.

[00:27:53] Oh my God. That one, I should do it today. I can't to think of this. Oh my gosh. That's embarrassing. Yeah. So [00:28:00] like are, yeah. So it just seems like the, the reach, the reach of the product and, and the lives and the ways in which it can affect lives is almost endless postop. Anybody dealing with recovery issues.

[00:28:15] So MBA athletes, et cetera, people that are dealing with aesthetic concerns, cellulites people that are having pain from inflammation, people that are having other, I mean, there's a whole host of issue system from. Guess you'd call it DYS homeostasis where people are not moving, cuz America's sedentary, largely mm-hmm

[00:28:33] And when the body is sedentary, the lymphatic system, which requires movement to pump out toxins, you have the build up mm-hmm so it's like, you know, to ask the question, who is this product for? It seems like really the question to ask is who is it not for? Which is not many, um, right. Which

[00:28:52] Melissa: is wild. And you have to train everyone at your facility, too.

[00:28:55] You know, our injector, when she's talking to someone, you brought up biking. So she, you know, she's doing [00:29:00] Botox and the client's like, oh my God, I just did this 50 mile bike ride. Oh my God, you have to try interferes with Melissa. And, you know, we have a try it once where they get a major discount to try the treatment.

[00:29:12] So she's like, do you have time today? You know, give us an hour. She's like, oh my God, This is amazing. I've never heard of this. Yeah. So yeah, it is for everybody. Wow. So yeah, you can definitely end of SPS now post bike ride.

[00:29:30] Austin: it's amazing. There's so many opportunities you could literally, if you were a spot owner and you wanted to have a niche, I only do work, or I only work with cyclist.

[00:29:39] You could call every bike shop in your. You could rent a little booth somewhere in a salon suite or something like that. And you could literally create a spa just serving. And that's one niche niche idea of the moment that are out there. Right. That's incredible. Wow.

[00:29:54] Melissa: So you can go to health and fitness studios.

[00:29:56] Yeah. I had so many people in Pilates or yoga [00:30:00] because they're already trying to lengthen and lean out their body. Yep. Um, and this helps them with their practice. So there's all these little niches that you can definitely, um, hone in on specifically

[00:30:14] Austin: bridal photography. Oh

[00:30:16] Melissa: my God. Yes. I do so many celebrities too.

[00:30:20] So a lot of celebrities on the right, they want their arms sculpted, you know, they want their legs sculpted. They want their booties lifted as much as possible. Um, and it always makes me so happy when you know, my clients. Get comments on how sculpted their legs look. And I'm like, oh good. Everyone's appreciating my work too.

[00:30:39] Cause like, I really, you, when you're doing endo spheres, I mean, you really are sculpting their body and you can CU the great thing about endo spheres and with the training that they have, whatever areas that they wanna focus on, you can customize treatment plans for each of your. So if it's upper body, you can do an upper body [00:31:00] program, full body.

[00:31:01] We got you, um, a lot of women in this day and age with like the BBLs and everything with all the downtime, they can sit down for like a month and they need to have all these special pillows and gadgets. We can do that with endo SPS. We can lift that booty right up and there's no downtime. Oh.

[00:31:23] Austin: God, and there's endless niches you can get into as well with this product, which is just so, so baffling.

[00:31:28] I can't get over the Cy thing. It's so obvious. Power pictures, body builders, CrossFitters mm-hmm oh my God. There's no end into it. That's incredible.

[00:31:36] Melissa: It's so important to take the before picture, um, because that is, what's gonna help you grow your business. Um, the before and afters and clients, a lot of clients.

[00:31:49] Like, oh my God. Don't ever post these. And like this client here, she sent it to her whole mom group. Um, she was like, oh my God, I can't believe this. [00:32:00] I would never wanna show these pictures, but my results are so amazing. And then you start getting this business from referrals or. Their friends are like, wow, like you're all sculpted up.

[00:32:10] We never saw you. And like, you know, when you get a plastic surgery, you gotta wear all these, you know, tight garments and all, all this stuff, we know you didn't do anything. So like, what's your secret? Like what are you doing? Well, end ISE. What's end ISE. So, um, And spheres. I know it was in Europe for a long time, but now it's, you know, finally made its way over here to the us.

[00:32:35] And there's just a buzz now, mostly in LA. Um, you know, I was really shocked when you know, plastic surgeons are reaching out and, um, doctors that have. um, I had a client come in and she's like, my doctor said to come in, cuz she had all the cellulite. She didn't really wanna lose weight, but she just wanted to get the cellulite away from her legs.

[00:32:59] [00:33:00] Mm. And her doctor said, look up a place that does end spheres. And she found us and came in and we got rid of her cellulite and she was like, I just can't believe. This works because she's like, it felt, I look forward to my SPHS treatment, you know, and a lot of times, you know, there's so many treatments that are not pleasant, where we have to numb you and you have to have laughing gas and all these things where they're looking forward for their, to their industry's treatment.

[00:33:32] They can't wait to have it and feel good. And you're getting all these amazing results.

[00:33:38] Austin: Wow. So there's probably someone in the audience that's thinking, okay, Melissa, I'm sold. This sounds amazing. How great, but how do I market this thing? And I'm looking at your Instagram page, which is absolutely beautiful by the way.

[00:33:53] And oh, thank you. I can see. Yeah, I can see a very clear strategy myself. Um, but maybe you can give [00:34:00] us a bit of a, a peek behind the, uh, the curtain as to how you are marketing inter spheres in part.

[00:34:07] Melissa: Perfect. Um, definitely, you know, the before and afters you want to, and it doesn't have to be some famous person.

[00:34:18] It can be the go-to mom at school. Um, it can be, you know, someone that, you know, everyone kind of always goes to, or someone that, you know, goes to yoga, boot camps or whatever. You just have to find someone that is like the person that tells everyone what's happening. You, we all know who those people are.

[00:34:39] Mostly. I'm a mom. I have three. Um, you know, there's always that go to person that's on the PTA and everything else. You wanna get that person? Um, you can give 'em a discount on the treatment or you can, you know, have them do the treatments at no cost. Yeah. You can film the treatments, you know, track the results [00:35:00] and that's a great way to start marketing.

[00:35:04] Um, I also like to. Um, just real briefly talking about endo spheres, not only showing them the results, but also telling them how they're gonna feel good, you know, how it's gonna increase their circulation. It's gonna take out down water retention, you know, it's gonna keep their immune system strong. Um, so when we focus on those entities, um, it definitely, you know, brings in the.

[00:35:31] Before and afters number one end OFE Artemis has before and after that you can use, but then having your own, you can even do people that you're working with. You know, one of your coworkers, everyone can use some improvements. And as long as you're tracking those before and afters sells, I mean, people wanna see the results.

[00:35:55] Um, and then we also, you know, have a, try it once, try the treat. [00:36:00] You know, we're going do it at a discount or you can kind of parrot, you know, if they sent, if they spend a certain amount of money at your spa, we're gonna give you this free endo your treatment to try. Um, and then also referrals. If you refer someone, you'll get a free treatment once they sign.

[00:36:17] So it's just all of a sudden, you're just getting all these, you know, clients from everywhere. But the before and afters, I mean, It's the biggest thing, honestly, and you get results that you can track so quickly. Um, so that is probably the biggest way that we market. They also have a great video explaining the treatment, showing the treatment.

[00:36:44] And we have that plane in our waiting room. You're like, what is that? what is that? I've never heard of that. What is this thing? I wanna try it. So, and we have the before and afters and a little, you know, we have 'em right there. Um, we [00:37:00] also, I have like a little pamphlet that I made that kind of explains what it can do for athletes.

[00:37:07] You know, what it can do. Um, make your body look better, um, how it can help you from a health standpoint, just kind of breaking it down. Um, so that seems to help too, because they just wanna see the information. Um, and then Artemis itself really helps us a lot. They let us know like what hashtag worth work best on social media.

[00:37:29] Um, Instagram is huge. Um, you can do reels. Um, we have some real serious ones, you know, we have some funny ones, um, but it really gets people's attention because, you know, they haven't heard of bend SPS, so they they're curious. So that's kind of how we market it, but word of mouth referrals, um, once you start your business, we'll just keep building and building and building.

[00:37:55] Austin: There's a quote from our committees that I think is relevant here, which is give me a [00:38:00] lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it. And I shall move the world. So to recap and bullet form here, it's number one, you've gotta optimize for referrals, the word of mouth, getting people to talk about you and the way yet you do that is by delivering results, duh, and further capturing the proof that you've delivered the results in the form of before and after.

[00:38:20] Melissa just showed us with the gal that lost 11 inches and 10 treatments with INO spheres, which is completely unfathomably amazing in my eyes. Um, but I'm biased. Number three is having a, uh, I hate the term discount, but deeply discounted first treatment to get them on the table to try it. So you just gotta

[00:38:41] Melissa: try it once.

[00:38:42] They just gotta try it. That's. Right

[00:38:44] Austin: because they're, they're also, I mean, in some sense, it's almost addicting, you might say because it's releasing endorphins as well. So the treatment as a, as a, uh, a 180 from U you know, other treatments where, like you said, you're, uh, being either, uh, put under [00:39:00] laughing gas or it's uncomfortable or whatever, you actually look forward to industry treatments.

[00:39:06] endorphins are released. It's addicting, et cetera. But the fourth going back to the fulcrum and the CEDS quote, the fourth and fifth, I think are the real moneymakers, which are number one, you find the influencers mm-hmm and that is your long lever. And the fulcrum you might say. Again, to borrow from our communis here is you have effectively this loop of education playing in the background in your foyer.

[00:39:29] Let's say your lobby, which is the video. Yeah. Which then prompts people to ask, Hey, what is that? So you're soft selling mm-hmm . And so you've created this flywheel effectively with, with what you're doing, which is amazing. I love that. So cool. Wow. Can I ask a very nosy question? That'll get me put on. An FBI watch list.

[00:39:52] Just maybe not that extreme

[00:39:56] so the question is, and you, you okay. Okay, cool. You can say no, [00:40:00] I plead the fifth, no further questions if you fancy, but I'm curious. Um, and maybe you could just share it as a percentage or, or maybe not a specific if you don't want to, but what has SPHS done for the revenue of your spa? How has it impacted the.

[00:40:15] Melissa: Um, for me personally, um, I just hit doing endo spheres for a year. So I've been, I have had the machine for a year and, you know, we started, we got trained. We had no endos SP clients, you know, we had to bring 'em in, um, and now month 12 and I do other treatments too, but just with endos alone, um, Um, the last three months, I went from like 10,000 a month in revenue to like 11,000 to 16,000.

[00:40:56] And that's just me bringing that [00:41:00] in per month. So, um, that's a lot of profit, um, from if you purchase the machine or if you're leasing the machine to bring in that kind of revenue. in one month, just starting just one person. Um, I think it's incredible. And, um, it's just kind of going up from there every month.

[00:41:28] I'm going up and up and up. So, um, that's kind of where we're at, which is what I think is great revenue. With a lot of other, you know, devices we have, I've never seen such a incline so quickly. Um, mostly for something that's so new to the market, but that's a great time to get into the market because you're one of the first people to have it.

[00:41:58] And, you know, I said, we use [00:42:00] social media, you know, you can do a lot with like advertising on social media where you can really cater to the market. Where, you know, you wanna focus, whatever you wanna focus on. Do you wanna focus on athletes? You wanna focus on women, you can focus and, you know, within a five mile radius, the 10 mile, you can really critique what type of clientele you wanna get and market as well.

[00:42:23] Um, but yes, with a lot of some machines that we have and, you know, techniques that we do mostly for it being brand new, um, the results. Are amazing. Um, and there's not a lot of, you know, a lot of machines with each client, you know, you have to like, you know, get a lot of different, you know, like for example, with Morpheus, you know, you have to get a, you know, there's needles and all, you have to get a pet, a new one every time, you know, there's all these costs.

[00:42:58] You have the machine, [00:43:00] um, there's a light bulb oil, which is inexpensive, but there's not, you're not, you don't have all these upfront costs for every treatment. So it's basically just the machine. And, you know, if you have multiple, I'm just one person. So if you have multiple people doing treatments and they're all as busy as I am, you're making a lot of revenue.

[00:43:21] Um, and there's not a lot of, um, costs with each treatment. Pure revenue. So it's very, it's lucrative.

[00:43:31] Austin: Wow. What, what do you expect to make this year? So year two in revenue for minister with the growth that you've had.

[00:43:39] Melissa: Oh boy, um, I'd have to use my little handy Dany calculator, but, um, my, my goal is to, um, increase what I charge, um, And I would like what I'm making now.

[00:43:56] I would, I would definitely for next year plan on doubling [00:44:00] that per month. Um, so you know, I'm not the greatest at math here, so let me get my little calculator. Maybe you're quicker.

[00:44:11] Austin: Oh, I got it right here. So you said six, you were making 16,000 in your last month, is that correct? Right. And you wanna double that?

[00:44:17] So we're thinking,

[00:44:18] Melissa: yeah. So we're looking at like 31 30, 2000 a month, times, 12 months.

[00:44:24] Austin: $384,000 a year in revenue from one device that Melissa operating herself.

[00:44:31] Melissa: Mm-hmm . Wow, wow. And a lot, there's no Expendables. Really. There's not a lot of extra Expendables, so yeah. So, and it's the worst feel, good treatment.

[00:44:43] They're excited to see you. They're not like, no, God, are you gonna numb me enough? Like, Ugh, you know, it's a feel good treatment. So it's, you know, they come in excited, they leave happy, you know, I love what I do. I really do. Um, and I do change bodies. [00:45:00] Um, you know, I have women that don't work out that look like they work out all the.

[00:45:05] Um, I have women that do work out, but my God, they look perfect. I mean, so it's, I really love what I do and you know, I really love, I do change people's lives. I do make them feel better and get confidence. And it's, it's one of my favorite treatments to do at valor. So it's my baby. Everyone knows endo SP is my baby at the spot.

[00:45:31] So.

[00:45:33] Austin: Changing lives. Your work is meaningful. And in year two with INO spheres, just you operating that one device you're expecting to make $384,000 in revenue with very little in the way consumable costs.

[00:45:46] Melissa: Right? Wow.

[00:45:48] Austin: Wild. Well, two final questions from me. Um, the second to last here is, is there anything we have not covered?

[00:45:59] That [00:46:00] the world needs to know about endos spheres, lymphatic drainage, or otherwise,

[00:46:08] Melissa: um, just that anyone can use it. You know, it's not just about cellulite. Um, it's a feel good treatment. Um, my favorite line and I got it from end Spears, actually Artis is where health meets beauty. and there's not a lot of treatments where you get both.

[00:46:30] And you know, at this day and age, you know, a lot of people are watching their money a little bit more. So if they can double zip and do something for their health and look better, end just fears is definitely the ticket for that. So, um, and it's funny because I'll have the women come in first and then, you know, while you're doing treatments, it'll be like, my husband works out all the time.

[00:46:53] Have 'em come in. Have him come in and you know, and then he'll, you know, these guys will come in, you know, my wife sent me [00:47:00] here, I'm getting, you know, they can't even stay into Spears. They're like, I'm getting some sort of treatment today. That's gonna help my muscles feel better. And then they're like, oh my God, this is the greatest thing ever.

[00:47:11] But, um, the markets endless. So it, you're not just limited to females. Um, you can also do males and athletes and, um, So many opportunities with this machine.

[00:47:27] Austin: Wow. Well, thank you for sharing. That is incredible. I can't believe that women lost 11 inches in 10

[00:47:34] Melissa: Mrs. Baffling, and that happens a lot. It happens a lot.

[00:47:38] I mean, I have multiple, multiple clients where they're getting results like that. So that's why I do, um, I like to track their body fat. I'll take their measurements like on their waist, their thigh, um, so that they can, you know, see the results so they can see the numbers as well as their genes are fitting better.

[00:47:57] Um, they're finally wearing a bikini. I have [00:48:00] so many women that wouldn't wear short. Because they were so insecure about the cellulite or, um, you know, once women hit 40, they're all, I swear to God, they're all concerned about their knees. Um, they're just so happy to be able to wear shorts and swimsuits.

[00:48:17] They thought they could never do it again. So I mean, it's, there's a lot of gratification and what I do every day.

[00:48:25] Austin: Wow. I think if you can find work that is. Um, at the intersection of profitable, meaningful. And impactful. You found something that you should double, triple, quadruple down on. And this is something I've mentioned in the past, not to get too philosophical here, but, um, there's a book called man search for meaning from Victor Frankel.

[00:48:49] And he talks about the three ways that you can have meaning in your life, which is the thing that we should be optimizing for. It's actually not profit. It's not acquisition of things. It's meaning that we should be in pursuit of mm-hmm [00:49:00] and to have something where you can change people's lives. And be profitable.

[00:49:06] And then of course have the impact on their lives that then liberates them or gives them the confidence to go out and do their own meaningful work. Melissa, uh, I I'd be hard pressed to say anything other than this as a closing note. Uh, and here it is, and I'm stealing from Steve jobs, but I think this is

[00:49:26] You are leaving a dent in a universe. And for that, I am grateful to be completely Frank. So there you. Wow. We could talk for hours. Um, but you have literally, probably 30 people out the door right now, begging to come see you. I know. Right? So like,

[00:49:41] Melissa: what do you mean we can't get our S right now, but I would like to say it's not just for aesthetics, um, massage therapists, personal trainers, chiropractors, holistic doctors, um, anyone that deals with the skin, people in all of these [00:50:00] career fields can definitely benefit.

[00:50:03] From having an endo spheres machine at their facility. For sure. Um, so it's not just aesthetics. Um, even rehab specialists are, you know, people that are dealing with athletes all the time. This is something that you can bring into your business and have this amazing feel, good treatment that compliments everything that you do.

[00:50:26] I just wanted to give that little tidbit too. Yeah.

[00:50:30] Austin: I'm half tempted to call the bike shop that I bought my, my, uh, my two

[00:50:36] Melissa: my two. Oh, nice look at you. Impressive.

[00:50:39] Austin: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I cycle all the time, my girlfriend and I go out and, and shredded it, the troll star in Denver, but, um, yeah, I'm big in like, Why don't you have an in sphere it's after my rides, we can go, you know, lay some, uh, uh, some liberation on these quads.

[00:50:53] Geez, Louise. Well, Melissa, you are in the words of everyone ever, who has ever lived, uh, a [00:51:00] phenom. So thank you for being on the show today. I wanna make sure that the listeners can find you and come in for glorious life changing in spheres treatment. So what is the best way to find you? How can they connect?

[00:51:14] Melissa: Um, the best way to find us is our website@volomedspa.com. Um, and our Instagram, um, my personal Instagram is wan swag LA. And BEO also has an Instagram, but, um, I do have the little highlight reels. So I have one for Inosphere specifically. So you can see all my clients before and after you can see how I do treatment, um, and how I market everything, my clientele.

[00:51:45] Austin: Amazing, amazing. Well, she basically just give, gave listeners the, uh, uh, the license or free pass to not steal from, but find inspiration. in the way that she markets, um, and [00:52:00] there's frankly, nothing more flattering than having people that are inspired by you and emulate you so, right. Very cool. Well, again, Melissa, I would talk to you for maybe ever, but again, you have all of LA knocking on your door begging for treatment.

[00:52:13] So I'm gonna let you get thanks for making the time today. You are a rockstar and when I'm in LA, you can bet your, uh, bottom dollar and top dollar, but I'm gonna come in for treatment myself. So love it. Can't

[00:52:26] Melissa: wait to see you.

[00:52:28] Austin: yeah. Awesome. Well, you take care be well.

[00:52:30] Melissa: All right. You too. Thank you.
